Calyce knife was designed in two versions, similar, but different from each other. Both versions have a rise on the spine, the so-called upper jimping. One of them, opened with a thumb stud or a flipper, has a shorter and higher rise and blade with bigger belly. This blade is designed more in drop point style. The second one, opened only with a flipper, has a longer and lower rise, and its blade with characteristic "swedge" is better suited for piercing materials.
