TRC Knives K-1s Apocalyptic Biohazard 2020 Knife is a limited edition knife made in the workshop of the Lithuanian knifemaker Andrius Tricius. The knife were made of premium ELMAX steel with a beautiful “apocalyptic” blade finish, different and unique for etery single knife.

The K-1s Apocalyptic Biohazard 2020 knife is a unique variation of one of Andrius Tricius’ favorite designs, used for years and resumed by him in various configurations. New edition of K-1s is a result of pressure from the brand’s fans who demand the availability of this model. The K-1s Apocalyptic Biohazard 2020 is a combination of usability refined over the years, expressed in perfectly matched: the size and shape of the knife, with a unique apocalyptic finish. Each copy is different, each copy has its own unique design on the blade, each copy is only yours – the only one, unique and nobody will ever have the same one!

In addition to the TRC Knives logo, the name of the knife and its serial number on the blade, we find the symbolic “biohazard” engrave with the year 2020. This is an obvious reference to the viral emergency situation that has occurred all over the Earth, putting individuals, societies and countries in an unprecedented recent years of an exceptional situation, actually changing our existing existence.

Standards of Workmanship – Quality Control

The process of making each knife is meticulous and very critical. Any member of the small TRC team during any of the production stages has doubts and notices even a minimal deviation from the established standard – the knife does not leave the workshop. This means that all cuts, roundings, gluing are made with maximum precision and TRC is more likely to agree to a delay in delivery than to “release” an unpolished copy.

The K-1s Apocalyptic Biohazard 2020 is a full-tang knife (crafted from a single, carefully selected piece of material) made from high-quality Elmax steel. Elmax is one of the top steels available on the market, recognized as a premium material for knife production. Its best properties are achieved through a precise hardening process, which must flawlessly follow three stages: hardening, cryogenic cooling (freezing), and tempering. A properly prepared Elmax blade is extremely durable under heavy loads, retains its sharpness for a long time (wears down very slowly), and has excellent corrosion resistance.

Universal Blade Fot Any Task

The 3.8 mm thick drop point blade is well-suited for various survival and camping tasks. Whether you’re batoning wood or preparing meals, this knife handles it with ease. Its flat grind finish aids in smooth cutting and performing a variety of tasks. The blade features jimping on the spine, providing thumb support during cuts that require extra force. The jimping is fine enough to avoid discomfort while pressing but also detailed enough to function as a mini grater. The knife includes a contoured guard and a finger choil in the handle to prevent your hand from slipping onto the cutting edge during use. Additionally, the rounded spine protruding from the handle enhances grip comfort and security.

Ergonomic Handle

The handle scales feature an ergonomic, oval shape and are made from black Canvas Micarta, a material known for its resistance to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, and its high durability against mechanical damage. Micarta, prized for both its performance and appearance (it can be styled to resemble natural materials), has a non-slip, textured surface. The scales are glued and mounted with brass tubes that match the overall design of the knife. This thoughtful construction ensures the handle fits well in the hand, providing a strong and secure grip.

At the end of the handle, there is a lanyard hole for attaching a cord, which can serve as a safety feature to prevent dropping the knife during use. Each K-1s Apocalyptic Biohazard 2020 knife comes with a short length of paracord braided through the hole, with a brass pin in the middle. This element not only enhances the visual appeal but also makes it easier to pull the knife out of its sheath.

Warranty

Knives are covered by a lifetime warranty. This warranty provides protection against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to both the knife and its sheath. If the product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect the producer will repair it without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. Only original, unaltered and unmodified items are covered by this warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over an extended period of time and use. Damage not covered under the warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate. In such cases, a fee will be also charged for shipping.

Maintenance

1. Remember! Every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
2. Do not use your knife for something besides it’s intended purpose! Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
3. After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
4. Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
5. Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheath clean and dry when not in use.
6. Always keep your knife sharp, so it can always take care of you.
