Description

The folding QSP Knife Pelican is a large universal tool for everyday use EDC (Every Day Carry).

Premium steel – durable blade

The blade has a flat grind and was derived in the wharncliffe style. This design is ideal for cutting on flat surfaces due to the easy possibility of pressing a straight cutting edge to the material being cut. In addition, this type of blade enables easy handling and control of the engraving, which is very useful during cuts requiring precision. The back has jimping to facilitate applying pressure with your thumb while making cuts. The blade was made of stainless American premium steel CPM S35VN. It is a sinter (powder steel) used in the production of medium and high-class knives and is characterised by high impact strength (resistance to mechanical damage), has high abrasion resistance (remains sharp for a long time) and the blades made of it cut very efficiently.

The blade has been partially coated with titanium nitride (PVD), which is a decorative element, but also increases the service life of the coated part of steel, further protecting it against corrosion.

Smooth opening

The knife is opened due to the  flipper protruding from the blade, which, when the blade is unfolded, serves as a hand guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the cutting edge and potential injuries. The knife is unfolded very freely and smoothly thanks to the steel ball bearing. The knife has a self-adjusting stable opening, which protects against uncontrolled closing during use (liner lock).

Durable handle

The handle itself is equipped with linings made of brown linen micarta with an skidproof and rough structure. Micarta is a popular material on the handle, which after styling gives the effects of naturalness. In addition, it has very good performance – it is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids and therefore has a high resistance to mechanical damage.

Stable carrying

The knife was equipped with a titanium clip, enabling stable carrying in a pocket, fixing to the backpack, organizer etc. An  hole over the clip allows additional threading, paracord etc. Both the clip and the opening are elements that serve as protection against possible loss of the knife.

Eagle from QSP Knife is a model that belongs to the karambit family of knives. This type of blade was created a long time ago in Malaysia and the Philippines and its shape was inspired by the claws of large predatory cats. Characteristic for its construction is the curved blade and an inverted handle with a hole for the index finger. Eagle from QSP Knife, referring to the Karambit tradition, was additionally associated with the silhouette of the eagle. In the end, the curved blade resembles either the bird's claw or a sharp beak with a watchful eye, which can be seen in the characteristic orange coating located around the mounting screw on the main line of the knife's axis. The image is complemented by the styling of the G10 composite grip lining, effectively imitating the predator's plumage. Eagle for the sake of construction may be suitable for tactical use and for the needs of uniformed services. It works well when cutting ropes, plastics, materials that are difficult to approach, but also it can be used in everyday life more universally.
