Description
MAIN Knives Pocket Knife German Line 1301 Sheepsfoot 440A BubingaWood is a light, pocket-sized, and convenient everyday blade.
The German Line series and sheepsfoot-style blades are elegant pocket knives. The thin blade allows for optimal utilization of the cutting edge’s most forward point. Excellent for daily tasks such as opening packages or trimming material against a ruler, etc. The streamlined and thicker handle at the end ensures a comfortable and stable grip. Safe usage is ensured by the reverse liner lock mechanism.
Due to their design, knives with sheepsfoot blades are excellent tools for occasional gardening tasks. However, this type of blade also performs exceptionally well for any other daily tasks.
MAIN Knives – Traditional Pocket Blades
MAIN Knives is a manufacturer of high-quality traditional pocket knives. MAIN Knives‘ products are primarily the result of handcrafting, including the hand-polishing of handles and sharpening of blades. The stainless steel used in the blades, combined with other corrosion-resistant elements in the construction, along with handles made from woods such as beech, oak, walnut, bubinga, ebony, rosewood, olive wood, or compressed wood in black hues, provides users with a variety of options when it comes to selecting their preferred colors and materials.
MAIN Knives – Pocket Blade for Everyone
Stainless Steel Blade
The blade of the knife is crafted from 440A stainless steel. This type of steel maintains good cutting properties and is easy to sharpen. Additionally, it is stainless steel, making it easy to maintain. For example, knives made from this steel can be left in a car without worry, where, as we know, during various weather conditions and temperatures, stainless steel may “sweat,” causing moisture to settle. For knives made from rust-prone steel, this moisture can lead to corrosion.
Smooth Opening and Secure Lock
The knife opens smoothly using both hands, thanks to the nail nick in the blade. It features a stable and durable lock mechanism to prevent accidental closure during use: the reverse liner lock. This is one of the more popular types of locks found in folding knives, highly effective and safe for users. The locking mechanism is positioned directly in the wooden handle and automatically engages upon blade deployment. In contrast to a typical liner lock, it needs to be pressed towards the center of the knife rather than away from it. This design essentially locks the blade diagonally, providing even better security against accidental closure.
Wood Handle
The knife features a handle made from exotic bubinga wood with a brown color and beautifully defined grains. The wood has undergone special treatment to prevent moisture absorption. During the handle preparation process, its final texture was achieved through manual polishing. Polishing removes any imperfections and ensures the handle is smooth to the touch. The steel ring surrounding the wooden construction serves as a connecting element between the wooden handle and the blade.
