Description

MK Knives & Tools Humbler Folding Knife is the production version of a compact folder designed by Polish knifemaker and designer Marcin Kampka. Humbler, in this modern edition, features a liner lock, fast flipper opening, and a carry clip. The creator’s idea was to stay as close as possible to his original custom model, which had a traditional slipjoint mechanism with a spring-based blade lock. The final design is a well-balanced compromise that meets modern folding knife standards.

The designer paid special attention to hiding the pivot mechanism, which is typical for slipjoint-style knives. The pivot is fully concealed under the handle scales (‘hidden pivot’), without adding extra thickness to the handle. Only small screws fixing the scales are visible, giving the knife a traditional, two-handed-opening look.

The Humbler is roughly the size of a medium pocket knife. It feels secure in both smaller and larger hands, made with modern knife materials. The blade is premium MagnaCut steel, and the handle is made from durable composite.

This is an ideal everyday knife—lightweight, pocket-friendly, with a simple and classic look. Just like its name suggests, Humbler is a modest, practical tool.

‘Nightberry’ Version

The Humbler in the version with purple handle scales. Nightberry — a clear reference to the black blade finish combined with the deep berry shade of the handle. This version appeals to fans of classic black and black-purple color combinations. A gear piece designed for those with a distinct taste for personalized color schemes in their everyday tools.

Key Features of the Humbler Knife

**DROP POINT BLADE**: A versatile shape suitable for most everyday tasks. A flat grind with a false swedge on the spine enhances penetration, while the jimping offers better control during precise or forceful cuts.

**PREMIUM STEEL**: The blade is made from MagnaCut, a CPM stainless steel developed by Crucible Industries in the USA. The Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process results in higher purity and performance compared to conventional steels.

**MAGNACUT PROPERTIES**: High vanadium, molybdenum, and niobium content gives MagnaCut exceptional wear resistance, strength, and corrosion resistance. Designed by steel expert Larrin Thomas, it offers an outstanding balance of performance factors for knife blades.

**FLIPPER OPENING**: The knife opens smoothly via a classic flipper, with ceramic ball bearings ensuring easy deployment. The flipper also acts as a guard to prevent your hand from sliding onto the blade when open.

**LINER LOCK**: Simple and effective, the liner lock provides reliable blade security for a knife of this size. A finger undercut in the handle and thumb cutout in steel liner makes it easy to operate.

**HANDLE MATERIAL**: The scales are made from tough G10 composite, a blend of fiberglass and epoxy resin, mounted to a steel frame with Torx screws. The steel backspacer includes a lanyard hole for cords, beads, or lanyards.

**CARRY CLIP**: A steel pocket clip allows tip-up carry, meaning the closed knife stays in the pocket with the blade tip pointing upwards.

Warranty

MK Knives & Tools are covered by a 24-month warranty. This warranty provides protection against material and manufacturing defects. It applies to both the knife and the sheath. If a warranted product is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair it free of charge or replace it with a new one, at our discretion. The warranty covers only original, unaltered, and unmodified components.

The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper use, improper maintenance, normal wear and tear, or natural discoloration of colors occurring during use.

Maintenance

1. Remember! Every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
2. Do not use your knife for something besides it’s intended purpose! Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
3. After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
4. Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
5. Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheath clean and dry when not in use.
6. Always keep your knife sharp, so it can always take care of you.
