MK Knives & Tools Ingeni “Black V4E & Green Titanium” is a unique model of a folding knife, designed and made by Marcin Kampka. It is one of his knives that can certainly be described as the flagship. The Ingeni knife is a brother of very universal fixed MK-01 (Nomad) knife and initiates a series of folding knives from the knifemaker.

Ingeni (MK-01F) is a folding knife with a well-thought-out design and perfect workmanship. It is a subtle, nice gadget, an element of many valuable collections, but also due to the construction materials used, a durable tool for everyday use, also the more demanding one.

Ingeni is an advance, it is a job, it is an evolution towards perfection, it is an engineering passion and a desire to improve! This is an announcement, a promise, but also an expression of respect for the future user! It is a request for trust and a declaration of reliability!

The presented MK Knives & Tools Ingeni “Black V4E & Green Titanium” has a blade made of top Vanadis 4 Extra steel in black PVD coating with an innovative hollow grind (subtle grooves on the blade), a green titanium handle. The design of the knife is completed by a titanium wearing clip and a brown backspacer. The set includes a knife, MK steel keychain and MK material pouch.

Knifemaker Marcin Kampka does not compromise. Each of his products is planned down to the smallest detail, each project, especially custom one, must have individual features. Each knife must have a perfect finish, sawing, chamfering etc. All screws – even the smallest ones, are slightly chamfered to remove angular finishes. Each knife is treated as a separate unit and the holster is also treated the same. One must match the other, the patterns on the holster must be consistent with the patterns on the handles etc. By mirroring each MK Knives & Tools knife, we not only see the product, but also “feel” the hours spent in the studio. When buying a product by Marcin Kampka, we buy many hours of his work. We can be sure that the knife has been pampered down to the smallest detail.

Unique MK Knives & Tools design

The Ingeni folding knife in the present shape and design is the result of several years of work. Over time, its design has changed in order to obtain the best ergonomics and the best performance. The design itself was planned not only in terms of usability, but also appearance. The visual sphere, the proper distribution of proportions between the individual components of the knife and its final image are an important element of the work philosophy at MK Knives & Tools. In the design, you can see consistency with other knifemaker designs and move within your own style, which makes individual knives quite easily identifiable. The workmanship does not lack roundings, “chamfers”, subtle angularities in the right places, thoughtful color composition and delicate decorative patterns.

Before leaving the workshop, each Ingeni knife is checked and tested for smooth operation. The basic torsion of the structure is selected individually for each copy. The knife works very smoothly and freely from the very first moment. It is recommended not to adjust the twist immediately after use, because after first stage of using the knife will fit even better.

Premium steel and utility blade

Ingeni knife has blade with an innovative hollow grind, visible as characteristic grooves on the blade, reducing the effect of adherence of the cut material to it (the grind is very subtle). The blade profile is a classic, universal drop point, with a visible false blade enhancing the visual effect. The design of the blade determines the optimal functionality and dedicates it to any type of work. There is a jimping on the spine, which makes it easier to make precise cuts that require pressure with the thumb. The Vanadis 4 Extra premium steel blade gives excellent performance effects: long-lasting sharpness and reliable durability (high abrasion resistance, high resistance to mechanical damage). Black PVD coating strengthens the blade and has anti-reflective properties.

Smooth opening and stable safety lock

The knife opening happens thanks to the flipper protruding from the blade, which, after unfolding the blade, serves as a finger guard to prevent the hand from slipping over the cutting edge and potential injuries. The knife is unfolded very freely and smoothly thanks to its steel ball bearing. The pivot on which the blade moves, connecting it with the covers, is made of Elmax steel in PVD coating. The knife has a stable and durable protection against accidental closing of the frame lock. This lock is known for its reliability, which in the case of the  Ingeni knife, also used for more demanding tasks, will be an additional factor increasing safety during their performance. The frame lock is equipped with a ceramic detent ball that guides the blade when opening and closing the knife without scratching the blade.

Titanium handle, pocket clip and backspacer

The handle is entirely made of light and extremely durable titanium. It is a hard metal, resistant to impact and mechanical damage, used in knives of the highest quality. It is resistant to corrosion. The covers have been screwed with stainless steel screws in a color consistent with the entire design (PVD coating). The knife is equipped with a titanium pocket clip, allowing for stable carrying in a pocket, mounting in a backpack, organizer, kidney, etc. The knife has titanium backspacer with a hole designed for threading an additional line, paracord, etc. Both the clip and the hole are elements that protect against possible knife loss. Pouch for the knife

The Ingeni folding knife comes with a fabric pouch with the MK logo. The Velcro closure cover is used to store or carry the knife, depending on the needs and preferences of the user.
