QSP Knife Woodpecker QS116-A II Folding Knife is a QSP Knife project which refers its name and appearance to birds found in almost every corner of the globe. The woodpecker, from a human point of view, especially in the context of forest environment, is a valuable animal because of its function as a “surgeon” of trees, which it “heals” by removing bark beetles and other pests. The Woodpecker is also a valuable tool and QSP intentionally placed it in the premium line of folding knives of this brand.

The knife was constructed of top materials, form the highest quality European Böhler M390 steel and titanium. Both this aspect, as well as its size and universal and at the same time ergonomic design enable one to use it for everyday work, with emphasis that it can also be used for heavy, demanding tasks. In simple words, it is a knife “hard” as the beak of a woodpecker and it is not afraid of willful, constant stinging, cutting and chopping even the most demanding materials.

Description

The Woodpecker folding QSP Knife is a top quality tool for everyday use EDC (Every Day Carry), also dedicated to heavy work.

Premium steel and utility blade

It is a knife with a stable blade with  flat grind and drop point style. These features indicate the universality of its use and dedicate it ot perform any type of work. On the back there is a jimping to facilitate making precise cuts requiring thumb pressure. The Böhler M390 premium steel blade gives excellent usability results: long-term sharpness, stainless steel and reliable durability (high abrasion resistance, high resistance to mechanical damage).

Smooth opening and stable safety lock

The knife is opened due to the flipper protruding from the blade, which, after unfolding the blade, serves as a hand guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the cutting edge and potential injuries. The knife is unfolded very freely and smoothly thanks to the ceramic ball bearing. The knife has a stable and durable protection against accidental closing of the frame lock. This lock is known for its robustness, which in case of the Woodpecker knife also used for heavy work is an additional factor increasing safety during their performance.

Titanium handle

The handle is entirely made of lightweight and extremely durable titanium. It is a hard metal, resistant to impacts and mechanical damage, used in knives from the highest quality shelf. The knife was equipped with a titanium clip, enabling stable carrying in a pocket, fixing to the backpack, organizer etc. An  hole over the clip allows additional threading, paracord etc. Both the clip and the opening are elements that serve as protection against possible loss of the knife.

Sheath for the knife

The manufacturer also adds a handy QSP nylon sheath to the Woodpecker model as an optional saddlebag for carrying or storing the knife.

QSP knives are covered by a limited warranty. This warranty provides protection against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to both the knife and its sheath. If the product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair it without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. Only original, unaltered and unmodified items are covered by this warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over an extended period of time and use.

Maintenance

Maintenance

 

  1. Don’t use the edge to cut hard object such as stone, steel tube….
  2. Don’t use the knife as a lever.
  3. Please follow the local and international laws in using QSP knife.
  4. Please wipe it by soft cloth after used, and store in dry place.
  5. Please sharpen the knife properly with correct techniques.
