Description

Willumsen Copenhagen Birddog Dark Stonewash is a knife made for outdoor.

About Willumsen Copenhagen

Willumsen Copenhagen was founded in 1998 in Copenhagen by Danish designer and knifemaker Mikkel Willumsen. This extremely talented designer creates knives with a fixed blade, folding knives and is also highly valued for his designs of chefs knives. The company offers a wide range of production knives and the owner himself constantly creates custom knives for a narrow group of customers.

About presented Birddog

440C steel

Birddog has a full tang construction, it is made of one section of steel running along the entire length and width of the handle to which the scales are attached. The whole knife is therefore made of 440C stainless steel. It is a steel characterized by high corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening and considerable resilience.

Utility blade

The blade of the knife is made in the drop point style, flat grind and a dark stonewash finish. The style in which the blade was made determines its optimal functionality and dedicates it to perform any type of work. The spine of the blade has a jimping for greater comfort of work in more difficult conditions.

Ergonomic Pakkawood handle

The handle of the knife is made of Pakkawood (a synthetic composite of wood and resin with greater resistance and durability than ordinary wood) and attached to the steel structure with screws. This allows you to create a very comfortable grip. The handle has an ergonomic profile and a prominent undercut under the index finger, which prevents the hand from slipping on the cutting edge during operation. In addition, the handle has texturing that significantly improves traction and prevents the hand from slipping. The handle ends with a steel glass breaker or hammer, which is an integral part of the structure, which can additionally work with the flint, because it is finished with 90-degree edges. It also has a hole for a lanyard.

Leather sheath

In the set with the knife we get a sheath made of black leather. It has a fastening around the handle of the knife to prevent accidental ejection, as well as a strap (loop) for carrying the knife in a vertical position. The sheath has been tastefully decorated with strong seams and embossed manufacturer’s logo.
