Bestechman Dundee Foldermania Exclusive Stonewash / Satin D2 Special Blue G10 BMK01Q Plus Patch and Additions is a versatile EDC (EveryDay Carry) folder that resulted from a collaboration between Polish Knifemaker Ostap Hel and the Bestechman brand. The folder was designed with extreme versatility in mind, made from durable materials, and positioned in an extremely attractive price range. The project’s goal was to meet the needs of a wide range of users, primarily in terms of the functionality that Dundee can provide.

Dundee FOLDERMANIA Exclusive

Dundee Foldermania Exclusive is a limited edition of this popular knife and at the same time a proposition from the FOLDERMANIA community creators for its members, but also for all folding knife enthusiasts. The project’s intention is to offer a folder from the accessible segment to a wider group of users, featuring unique characteristics.

In the case of the Dundee Foldermania Exclusive, these are:

• the FOLDERMANIA logo on the blade, made directly at the manufacturer’s factory in accordance with Bestechman brand standards and marking guidelines,
• three exclusive handle colors available only as part of this project, selected from those not previously used in the presented model (colors: Special Blue BMK01Q, Purple BMK01R, Green BMK01S),
• an inclusion in the set, the FOLDERMANIA patch, available only with the knife, featuring Navi Blue background and edging with golden lettering,
• a sticker with the phrase “Najważniejsze Są Relacje” (“Relationships Are Most Important”),
• a product certificate with the handwritten signature of the designer, Ostap Hel, and the FOLDERMANIA community creator, Marcin Rożnowski.

The presented Dundee Foldermania Exclusive undoubtedly showcases valuable utility features, as well as collectible aspects. It is the first group knife produced on such a scale and the result of several months of careful preparation.

Durable and Practical Blade Made from D2 Steel

D2 steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. D2 is often referred to as the “least rust-prone” steel among rust-prone steels. Its combination of strength, excellent edge retention, and ease of sharpening make it an excellent choice. It’s highly wear-resistant yet easy to sharpen, making it highly favored by users.

Clip Point Blade – Versatility for EDC

The blade of the knife features a clip point profile with a long and comfortable cutting edge. The stonewashed blade (3.0 mm thick) paired with a high flat grind provides excellent cutting edge geometry for great cutting performance. Opening the blade is assisted by ceramic ball bearings and a classic flipper, which acts as a guard to prevent slipping onto the cutting edge once opened. The blade spine features jimping for thumb support, and a double-sided fuller runs along the length of the blade for added strength. For operational safety, the knife is equipped with a sturdy liner lock mechanism to prevent accidental closure during use.

Durable G10 Handle

The knife handle is made of G10 composite material, a combination of fiberglass with synthetic resin and color pigment. The handle scales have a textured surface for a secure grip even in wet conditions. Chamfered edges provide comfort and usability, while finger grooves enhance stability. The open-backed construction with steel spacer tubes reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The handle also features a stainless steel clip for tip-up carry, allowing the knife to be carried in the pocket with the blade tip facing upward.

The presented version of the knife features handles made from a special variant of G10 material with a texture that mimics the layers often seen in carbon fiber.

Warranty

Bestechman knives are covered by a 12-month warranty. This warranty provides protection against material and manufacturing defects. The warranty applies to both the knife and the sheath/pouch. If the warranted product is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it free of charge, at our discretion. The warranty covers only original, unaltered, and unmodified parts.

The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper use, improper care, normal wear and tear, or natural color fading occurring during use.

Maintenance

1. Remember! Every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
2. Do not use your knife for something besides it’s intended purpose! Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
3. After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
4. Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
5. Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheath clean and dry when not in use.
6. Always keep your knife sharp, so it can always take care of you.
