Washers made of EPDM synthetic rubber
Damping and stiffening pads made of a special type of rubber called EPDM that are commonly used with TLMAB mounting posts, chicago screws, slotted bushings and other sheath and holster mounting assemblies with a diameter of approx. 4.8mm.
They are used to cushion and silence the contact points between the holster and the mounts. Pads are used and recommended by professional manufacturers of holsters and scabbards around the world.
EPDM synthetic rubber is slightly stiffer than neoprene (standard synthetic rubber) and allows less flexibility between the mount and the holster/scabbard, making the mount more rigid. This is a solution preferred by some manufacturers of holsters and scabbards.
