Description
MK Knives & Tools “Grey” comes with blade made of excellent Elmax steel covered by black DLC coating. The blade profile is drop point with innovative groove grind (hollow). The handle covers made of Grey and black G10 composite hide a pin for paracord or rope, etc. at the end of the handle. Knife comes with black carbon Holstex holster.
The knife has a unique construction. The construction of the handle combines the advantages of full tang and hidden tang construction. The wide tang of the knife runs along the entire length of the handle (as in the full tang), but it has been completely encapsulated with G10 composite covers twisted on it (similar to the hidden tang). This construction gives us as much durability as in the classic full tang, however, it is more pleasant for the hand working in the cold without a glove, as in the case of hidden tang knives.
About MK Knives & Tools
MK Knives & Tools – Marcin Kampka. Knife designer and knifemaker. His knives are characterized by outstanding workmanship and exceptional attention to detail. Knives with a highly recognizable line, style and colors are great for a variety of tasks: everyday, survival, bushcraft, tactical and general outdoor. In addition to the usable sphere, the visual setting and the variety of workmanship, especially appreciated by collectors, are of great importance in MK projects. Particular attention should be paid to the treatment of each project as a unique whole. Each knife presents its individual features, but holsters also have their distinguishing features. Holsters are finished as carefully as the knives themselves, which strongly distinguishes them in the knife world. The knifemaker approaches his work with patience and full commitment. Especially the first of these features develops while practicing the fishing hobby, because as we know, nothing refreshes the mind as much as a distraction, even a temporary one that will allow you to relax in a different than everyday environment.

About Sentinel knife
Sentinel knife is usually made of steel that can be subjected to high overload (Vanadis 4 Extra, Vanadis 23, Elmax). The knife is designed for intensive use, therefore the steel used in its production must be appropriate. It should withstand high stress, stay sharp for a long time and not chip. Sentinel is made with a variety of blade finishes (PVD coating, DLC coating). The handle is usually made of G10 composite or micarta, with a variety of colors and various original patterns. For each model, the knifemaker creates an appropriate Kydex holster, the colors of which (holster and accessories) correspond to the colors of the blade and the handle so that the whole is a coherent set.
About presented execution of the knife
Premium steel as the shank of the knife construction
The knife is made of Elmax steel. Elmax is one of the few steels available on the market in the absolute top quality of materials used in the production of premium knives. Knives made of it are extremely resistant to overload, stay sharp for a long time and have excellent anti-corrosion properties.
Sentinel is meticulously crafted from a single piece of steel, featuring a robust full-tang structure. Its handle is adorned with attached covers, providing optimal strength and stability as the steel spans its entire length and width. Renowned for its durability, the full-tang construction is the epitome of reliability in fixed blade knives.
To enhance its resilience and protect against corrosion, the knife boasts a black DLC coating. This Diamond Like Carbon coating, boasting a remarkable hardness of approximately 90 HRC, fortifies the steel and enhances its anti-reflective properties. Crowbar Knife combines strength, durability, and superior corrosion resistance.
Grinds and blade shape for effective cutting
The knife blade has been profiled in the drop point style. This design helps to make the best use of the really large blade. It should be noted that the slightly curved design of the knife (arc from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade) in combination with a properly profiled, undercut handle gives the whole a more aggressive character and, if necessary, allows you to better use the force put into a sweeping cut when chopping, for example, a larger piece of wood, etc. A curiosity in the execution of the knife is the innovative hollow grind. It is visible at first glance in the form of characteristic grooves on both the correct blade and the false blade. The concavity of the grind is very subtle and, in addition to the visual effect, is designed to support the cutting process (it reduces the effect of the material sticking to the blade and facilitates splitting of the material).
On the back of the blade there is a jimpig, which makes it easier to press the blade of the knife to the material being cut. This element enables precise cuts, makes it easier to guide the cutting edge along the material and helps with cuts that require pressure.
Knife handle (full tang/hidden tang)
The slender, neat oval of the handle fits very well and lies firmly in the hand. Contoured undercut with a length of 102 mm (4.02 “) will accommodate a hand of even large sizes.
The handles with an ergonomic, oval shape are made of a very durable G10 composite. G10 is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, has a high resistance to mechanical damage. In the presented knife, the material of the covers has a rough pattern that prevents the handle from slipping in the hand. The handle covers have been screwed together with black steel screws in a PVD coating. The screws complete the design of the knife, elegantly matching the black blade.
At the end of the knife handle there is a pin for attaching an additional cord, which can be used as a protection against dropping the knife during work, or an additional gripper that facilitates removing the knife from the holster. This solution also allows you to protect the knife against loss. Originally, a section of paracord with a shade matched to the design was attached to the knife.
Pin with paracord attached to it, can be used to attache your favourite ornament e.g. knife bead.
Holstex holster
The knife comes with the ultimate in impact resistance and moisture resistance hand-formed Holstex holster. Crafted to withstand scratches and various weather conditions, this holster is also highly resistant to chemicals.
The holster conveniently attaches to the belt using a textile loop. Equipped with pass-through holes, it offers the flexibility to secure it to a backpack or tactical harness using cordage, paracord, or even a paracord section matching the knife’s design.
Tactical Flexibility: For tactical enthusiasts, a Kydex optional buckle is available for belt or MOLLE attachment. Please note that the buckle is not included in the original set but can be purchased separately HERE*.
* The buckle designed by the knifemaker is compatible with MOLLE solutions. The buckle is installed by disassembling the module with the nylon grommet beforehand.
