Description
BPS Knives Hunter Set FB by Fred Perrin is the set of two hunting knives emerged from a design-production cooperation. The design is the work of a French knifemaker, with production handled by a Ukrainian manufacturer. The result of this collaboration is a set of two hunting knives made of 5Cr14MoV stainless steel, complete with a leather sheath capable of holding both knives and a belt loop.

Design by Fred Perrin
He was a former commando and martial arts instructor. The most recognizable French knife manufacturer and knifemaker. In his designs, he reflects their practical needs, stemming directly from his experience in special forces units.
Set for Hunting Enthusiasts
The set includes two blades:
- Larger one – for skinning and portioning meat. A long and wide blade with a drop point profile and a pronounced finger choil for better control during cutting.
- Smaller one – for more precise tasks. A short, dagger-like blade with excellent penetration properties, dedicated to precise work.
Utilized Steel for Easy Maintenance
Both knives feature a full tang construction, meaning they are made from single pieces of steel running through the entire length and width of the handle, with wooden scales attached.
Mainly crafted from 5Cr14MoV stainless steel and finished with satin. 5Cr14MoV steel is stainless and easy to maintain. It is known for its considerable resilience and is very easy to sharpen.
Padauk Wood Handles
The scales of both handles are made from the very hard and durable African exotic wood called paduk. This wood has been successfully used for years as a handle material for classic outdoor knives. The scales are permanently attached with brass pins and treated with Danish Oil, making them resistant to moisture and dirt. At the end of the knife handles, there are holes for attaching an additional lanyard, which can serve as a safety measure against dropping the knife during work or as an additional grip for easier removal from the sheath.
Sheath System – Ability to Carry Knives Together and Separately
In the set, we receive classic and elegant leather sheaths that blend perfectly with the wooden handles. In practice, we have a sheath system where each knife has a separate sheath, which can be connected to the other if needed, allowing for carrying the entire set on one side of the belt or separating and carrying each knife individually. This is an interesting solution that provides the flexibility to adjust the carrying method according to the user’s individual preferences. Each sheath has an additional strap closure for securing the knife during transport.
