Indeed- the unfolded knife, when is is pointed upwards it resembles a penguin's beak and the handle the body of the bird. However, the name of the knife does not only refer to the appearance of the knife. On the contrary- it also enhances its functional features. The blade, when necessary, can be "feisty" and "of strong character" just like a penguin's beak, the handle will perfectly match the hand during work, just like the body of a small swimmer will fit into every hole. The roughness of the micarta lining, like a penguin's raised feathers, will make slipping of the knife if ones hand when in use in a humid environment.

Pangolin is a QSP Knife project, whose name we owe to pangolins living in Africa and southern Asia. The shape of the handle resembles the protruding ridge of this small mammal and the knife in a folded form is associated with the pose taken by the animal sensing danger (curls into a ball and enhances protection in the form of the hard scales covering his whole body).

QSP Knife Copperhead QS109-A
QSP Knife Copperhead (copper-headed) got its name by associating with the physiognomy of one of the species of snakes inhabiting North America. In the construction of the knife, after the opening it catches our attention the shape of the upper edge, which starting from the tip of the blade forms one line until the end of the handle. The impression is enhanced by the slightly bent ergonomic profile of the whole, which is associated with the flexing body of the copper-headed loafer.
The knife has one more distinctive element. Namely, it is a characteristic orange coating around the fastening screw on the knife's main axis, which adds colour to the whole design.

QSP Knife Raven is a knife that owes its name to a common raven. The slightly curved, fairly wide blade of the knife can really be associated with the beak of this bird and the end of the handle with its short tail of feathers.
Raven is a knife with a very interesting, yet simple, functional appearance. Its rather optimal size places it more or less in the middle of the size pool of folding knives, which makes it convenient to with both a smaller and larger hands. The woodpecker, from a human point of view, especially in the context of forest environment, is a valuable animal because of its function as a "surgeon" of trees, which it "heals" by removing bark beetles and other pests. The Woodpecker is also a valuable tool and QSP intentionally placed it in the premium line of folding knives of this brand.
The knife was constructed of top materials, form the highest quality European Böhler M390 steel and titanium. Both this aspect, as well as its size and universal and at the same time ergonomic design enable one to use it for everyday work, with emphasis that it can also be used for heavy, demanding tasks. The QSP Knife Harpyie was inspired by the silhouette of a bird of prey from the hawk family. His physiognomy draws attention to the characteristic colours of its plumage, which is reflected in the knife handle. In its construction, attention is drawn to the proportion of colours, where one part of the cladding made of carbon fiber with a characteristic colour and reflects the upper part of the bird's torso, the rest of the composite G10 is in a different colour and reflects the rest of the bird's torso. In addition, the knife blade, in which you can see the shape of the bird's beak, has a characteristic notch in which a trained eye will see the animal's nostrils.

TRC Knives Classic Freedom Natural knife was created in the studio of the Lithuanian knifemaker Andrius Tricius (TRC Knives), inspired by the figure of a great enthusiast of fishing and communing with nature, the famous writer Ernest Hemingway. The model, along with its larger counterpart - This Is Freedom Natural, belongs to the "Tales of Man" series (more about the series HERE) created to commemorate the extraordinary figures of bygone eras. TRC Knives Apocalypse Natural
TRC Knives Apocalypse Natural knife made from Lithuania is a project inspired by island located in the Bay of Bangalore: Northern Sentinel and its indigenous inhabitants. Apocalypse Natural belongs to the series "Tales of Man" inspired by the extraordinary characters of past eras. Despite the fact that the inhabitants of the island are not historical figures and they have not literally passed away - however, they appear as characters from centuries ago, due to the lifestyle they lead. Isolated from the rest of the world, they have been faithful to their traditions for years, they live the same way as they used to and consistently defend access to their home to people from outside their world. Till today, each daredevil who have tried to get to the island has failed.
Inspired by this story Apocalypse Natural is a knife for do-or-die survival situations. On the other hand, it is a universal choice for bushcraft works. Besides cutting function, due to its very large dimensions, it can effectively replace an ax (wood logging) or a machete (clearing the area for a camp, roads e.t.c.).

TRC Knives South Pole Natural knife is a project of Andrius Tricius from TRC Knives from Lithuania, inspired by the legendary winner of the South Pole, Roald Amundsen. It is a model belonging to the series "Tales of Man" (you can read about the series HERE), inextricably linked with various characters of bygone eras, who in their time shocked some and amazed others with their persistence in pursuing their goals and boldly realizing their dreams.
South Pole was planned down to the last detail, just as Amundsen had planned its expedition. Wading on skis, dog sleds, and facing death many times, Roald Amundsen and his men were the first to conquer the South Pole. People hailed him a hero. Amundsen did not think about himself that way, he was a practical man. He explained his success in a simple way - "I have foreseen every difficulty and I have taken every precaution for meeting and avoiding it". Victory awaits whoever has everything planned.
It was in this spirit that South Pole knife was born - the perfect utility knife designed to deal with any natural challenge.
