The knife is opened with a double-sided thumb stud or a flipper and the blade is secured by liner lock. The handle covers are made of black G10 composite.
Calyce knife was designed in two versions, similar, but different from each other. Both versions have a rise on the spine, the so-called upper jimping. One of them, opened with a thumb stud or a flipper, has a shorter and higher rise and blade with bigger belly. This blade is designed more in drop point style. The second one, opened only with a flipper, has a longer and lower rise, and its blade with characteristic "swedge" is better suited for piercing materials. This blade is designed more in spear point style. Regardless of the version, Calyce has the same handle shape.
