Description
The INGENI: Full Production Edition
The Ingeni in this form is a folding knife designed by MK Knives & Tools (Marcin Kampka) and crafted by FOX Knives, a highly regarded company in the knife-making industry based in Maniago, Italy. The concept for a production model emerged from the desire to make the Ingeni accessible to a broader audience, and it has now become a reality.
Minimalism and full functionality were the guiding principles behind the project. The technical character and the classic yet recognizable MK style, combined with high-quality materials, result in a versatile and understated everyday tool.
Ingeni ‘Vanguard’
The ‘Ingeni ‘Vanguard‘ is crafted for fans of avant-garde elegance and the distinct look of natural steel. Featuring a satin-finished blade and a handle anodized in a bronze* alloy tone, this version stands out visually. Designed for those who value a standout aesthetic and meticulously curated everyday gear, the ‘Vanguard’ is as functional as it is striking. Its bold appearance does not compromise usability; instead, the Ingeni ‘Vanguard’ is a fully capable, versatile tool built for daily tasks.
*The material, bronze, is elegant and refined, but it naturally exhibits uneven shading. The handle finish of the presented knife version has been crafted in a similarly varied and nuanced style. Complaints regarding variations in the color tones of the handle scales will not be accepted.
Key Features Of The Ingeni
**DROP POINT BLADE**: This versatile blade shape is ideal for most daily tasks. The high flat grind and false edge along the spine enhance its piercing ability, while the jimping provides a firm grip for precise or high-pressure cuts.
**CPM-S90V STEEL**: This American-made powder steel from Crucible Industries is a premium, high-end steel, known for its outstanding strength and resistance to mechanical wear. It offers remarkable corrosion resistance and retains a long-lasting sharp edge, surpassing even MagnaCut from the CPM series.
**FLIPPER OPENING MECHANISM**: The knife opens with a flipper, which deploys the blade smoothly thanks to ball bearings. The flipper also acts as a guard once the knife is open, preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade.
**FRAME LOCK MECHANISM**: The knife’s frame lock uses a portion of the handle to secure the blade, making it a sturdy, reliable, and user-friendly one-handed locking mechanism. A ceramic detent ball embedded in the lock leaf ensures secure blade retention and long-lasting smooth operation.
**TITANIUM FRAME**: The handle scales, backspacer, and clip are crafted from lightweight and extremely durable titanium, all assembled with Torx screws, including the pivot screw connecting the handle and blade. The backspacer includes a hole for attaching paracord, lanyards, or decorative accessories.
**POCKET CLIP**: The knife features a pocket clip for tip-up carry, allowing for easy pocket, waist bag, or organizer placement. It’s designed for secure carry, with the blade pointed upward in the closed position.
**POUCH & PATCH SET**: The knife comes packaged in the manufacturer’s pouch with a zipper closure and an MK Knives & Tools patch that can be removed from the pouch’s Velcro panel and attached to clothing, a backpack, or other gear.
