PG Knives | Piotr Gosciniak Spire “Sandstorm”

The Spire knife is a sturdy tactical-style blade. Its 4.53″ (115mm) spear-point blade, sharpened on both sides, offers excellent penetration and works well with a fire starter. Despite its 0.177″ (4.5mm) thickness, the hollow grind ensures great cutting performance, while the recurve edge makes slicing through knots and ropes easier.

The handle is enclosed by a guard on one side and an extended pommel on the other, providing a secure grip even for larger hands and preventing slippage during intense use. The Kydex sheath, equipped with a Tek-Lok-style clip, allows for customizable carry options—on a belt, backpack, harness, etc.

This version of the Spire features a premium Elmax steel blade with a two-tone finish (satin grind, sandblasted flats). The handle is made of desert-colored (Tan) G10 composite with a precisely laser-engraved Digital Camo 3D texture. The set includes a Kydex sheath with a black-and-desert pattern and a black Tek-Lok-style clip.

Abaout Presented Spire Knife

Excellent Elmax Steel

The Cayman is a full-tang knife, crafted from a single, carefully selected piece of material to which the handle scales are attached.

The knife’s construction is based on the outstanding, globally renowned premium steel – Elmax, sourced from the European steel mills of the UDDEHOLM group. Elmax steel blades offer excellent utility features: long-lasting sharpness, corrosion resistance, and reliable durability in the form of high wear resistance and significant mechanical damage resistance.

Blade For Many Tasks

The knife blade made in the spear point style will work well in all kinds of survival and other field applications. The knife is easier to use thanks to the hollow grind, which supports the process of smooth cutting and performing various tasks. The cutting edge with a slight curvature (recurve) is very durable, and the edge on the back side emphasizes the penetrating properties of the tool.

The blade features a choil, a notch located on the spine just behind the handle, followed by jimping. The choil provides a thumb rest for cuts requiring more force. The knife also has a contoured guard, which, along with the finger choil on the handle, prevents the hand from slipping onto the cutting edge during use.

Robust and Ergonomic Handle

The ergonomically shaped handle scales are crafted from G10 composite, which is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, and boasts high resistance to mechanical damage. The scales are fastened with screws that complement the knife’s overall design. The scales are contoured to ensure a secure grip, whether working with or without gloves. The end of the handle features a glass breaker and a lanyard hole for paracord, cord, or similar attachments.

Durable Kydex Sheath

The knife comes with a sheath made from hand-formed Kydex, which can be attached to a belt using a nylon belt loop. Kydex is an extremely durable material known for its high impact and scratch resistance, low moisture absorption, and resistance to various weather conditions and many chemicals. Sheaths made from this material offer comfort and longevity. The sheath is equipped with through pins, which can be used to attach accessories like a fire starter holder (not included) or to secure the sheath to a backpack, harness, or MOLLE system.

PG Knives – Reliability and Diversity

PG Knives stand out for their designs that balance a variety of styles. The intricate grinds on the blades, described as “fusion,” are details that the knifemaker particularly enjoys and meticulously refines. The combination of precise craftsmanship, modern materials, and futuristic shapes provides a unique value appreciated by users worldwide. PG Knives are designed with intensive use in mind.

In the workshop, most of the work is done by hand or with manually operated machines. The entire process, from cutting the initial shape of the steel to heat treating and grinding, is carried out by the knifemaker himself. This also applies to working with handle materials (G10, micarta, carbon fiber, etc.) and sheaths (Kydex). The knifemaker’s range includes blades for everyday carry (EDC), outdoor activities, survival, and tactical use. The distinctive features of the latter category can be found in almost every project.
