Sliwkosky Knives Kephart Knife | Elmax | Convex Grind | Green Canvas Micarta

 413.77 Gross, (  336.40 Net )

Sliwkosky Knives Kephart Knife | Elmax | Convex Grind | Green Canvas Micarta is a knife that draws on the philosophy of camping, Horace Sowers Kephart, an American popularizer of spending time in nature, who lived at the beginning of the 20th century.

Kephart is a knife with a fairly simple structure and a nicely profiled blade. Particularly noteworthy in its construction is the type of grind made on the blade, the so-called: “convex grind”. It is a cut that facilitates splitting or baring the wood. In combination with the Sleipner steel used in the knife, known for its resistance to chipping and resistance to overload, a durable and universal tool for the forest has been created.

Sliwkosky Knives Kephart Knife | Elmax | Convex Grind | Green Canvas Micarta features a clear, glass-blasted Elmax steel blade, Green Canvas Micarta grips, orange G10 liners and a green kydex holster.

Sliwkosky Knives Kephart Knife | Elmax | Convex Grind | Green Canvas Micarta is a knife designed for use in the bosom of nature.

About the standards at Sliwkosky Knives

Sliwkosky Knives makes knives of various styles. Regardless of their use, be it outdoor or kitchen, it produces knives according to its individual concept, design and material consistent with the intended purpose of each of them. In this way, products of very high quality and accuracy of workmanship are created. All work is done manually using machines adapted to his needs. Production stages, such as cutting the knife shape, hardening, grinding, sharpening, processing the material on the handle and holster, take place in his workshop. The final product is refined with its shape and color and is a solid tool for the future user.

Premium elmax steel as the core of the knife construction

The knife is made of the high quality Elmax steel (chrome-vanadium-molybdenum powder steel). Elmax is one of the few steels available on the market in the absolute top quality of materials used in the production of premium knives. The Elmax blade is extremely resistant to overload, stays sharp for a long time (wears very slowly) and has excellent anti-corrosion properties.

Universal blade for any task

The blade is made in the style of drop point, with a convex grind (subtly derived grind), ensures smooth cutting and performing various tasks (planing, baring, grubbing, cutting trees, pruning branches, etc.). We have a 138 mm blade at our disposal, the spine of which is deliberately sharpened, allowing for efficient work with the flint.

Robust and ergonomic micarta handle

Grips are made of micarta, material resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, with high resistance to mechanical damage. Micarta, known for its excellent properties, also visual (it can be styled like a natural material), has a non-slip, rough structure. Under the micarta covers there are spacers made of G10 composite. The knife is equipped with a handguard that prevents the hand from slipping on the blade.

Kydex holster

The knife has a holster made of hand-formed kydex material characterized by high impact and scratch resistance, characterized by low moisture absorption, resistant to various weather conditions and many chemicals. In the presented model, the holster is made of green material.

We attach the holster to the belt with a webbing eyelet made of durable nylon. To backpacks, harness elements, we attach it with a string or paracord threaded through the holes in the holster, which can also be used to attach additional accessories (e.g. tinder, etc.).
