Sliwkosky Knives Modern Puukko | Elmax | Black & Red G10 Leather & Kydex was inspired by Finnish puukko knives. Knifemaker Jakub Śliwka referred to a Scandinavian design, but made a knife from modern materials. “Modern” in the name also refers to the design itself, in which we can see the “game of angularity”, visible especially on the steel guard. In this area, the individual planes of the steel take a different shade depending on the angle of the knife holding and the shadow falling on it. It is only an illusion, but it gives a very unusual and exclusive effect. The whole project looks very aesthetic and elegant and is emphasized even more by the quality and precision of workmanship.

About the standards at Sliwkosky Knives
Knifemaker Jakub Sliwka makes knives of various styles. Regardless of their use, be it outdoor or kitchen, it produces knives according to its individual concept, design and material consistent with the intended purpose of each of them. In this way, products of very high quality and accuracy of workmanship are created. All work is done manually using machines adapted to his needs. Production stages, such as cutting the knife shape, hardening, grinding, sharpening, processing the material on the handle and holster, take place in his workshop. The final product is refined with its shape and color and is a solid tool for the future user.
Modern puukko design
Referring to the design of the puukko knife was conceived as a universal knife designed to perform various tasks in the bosom of nature. The size, shape of the blade and the design of the handle are derived from the well-known, refined in ancient times shapes straight from Finnish soil. When designing the knifemaker Jakub Sliwka focused on refreshing this model in his own way, but not losing the features of the knife developed over the years, which have been proven for years. The result is a knife with very useful features, but also eye-catching workmanship and design.
Premium elmax steel as the core of the knife construction
The knife is made of the high quality Elmax steel (chrome-vanadium-molybdenum powder steel). Elmax is one of the few steels available on the market in the absolute top quality of materials used in the production of premium knives. The Elmax blade is extremely resistant to overload, stays sharp for a long time (wears very slowly) and has excellent anti-corrosion properties.
A universal blade for any task
The blade with a spine thickness of 3,5 mm (at its thickest point on the grinding line), made in the drop point style (puukko shape), with a high flat grind, ensures smooth cutting and performing various tasks (piercing, planing, preparing meals, etc.). We have a 106 mm blade at our disposal, the spine of which is deliberately finished more sharply, allowing for efficient work with the flint.
Robust ergonomic handle
The handle is made of G10 composite with a color addition of the same material (liner). The handle is made of stainless steel guard, which forms a clear dividing line between the blade and the handle. Guard is, of course, a conventional term here used mainly to describe the parts of the knife.
Leather sheath
The knife is equipped with a black sheath made of natural leather. The dangler style scabbard has a belt clip for vertical mounting. The sheath was sewn with a thread. The color of the thread corresponds to the color of the accessory in the handle).
Additional kydex sheath
Knife comes with leather sheath and additional kydex holster. Kydex is characterized by high impact and scratch resistance, low moisture absorption, resistance to various weather conditions and many chemicals. Holsters made of it are used comfortably and long-term. In the presented version, the kydex comes with leather additions consistent with the design of the knife.
The user, depending on his preferences, place and time, will be able to choose the sheth that best suits him at a given moment.

Warranty
Sliwkosky Knives are covered by a lifetime warranty. This warranty provides protection against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to both the knife and its sheath. If the product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect the producer will repair it without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. Only original, unaltered and unmodified items are covered by this warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials over an extended period of time and use. Damage not covered under the warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate. In such cases, a fee will be also charged for shipping.

Maintenance
- Remember! Every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
- Do not use your knife for something besides it’s intended purpose! Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
- After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
- Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
- Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheath clean and dry when not in use.
- Always keep your knife sharp, so it can always take care of you.
