Suprlativ Knives Canibl Front Flipper Knife PVD All Black is designed for everyday use (EDC).

Canibl is a folder design with excellent penetrating properties. Canibl with a slender blade and a hollow grind will find many uses in everyday life and will prove useful temporarily for filleting fish or portioning meat. Canibl is an EDC folder made of distinctive materials (premium steel M390, titanium, micarta) and a user-friendly design. Opening with the front flipper (upper fin), in which you can see the hand of Enriqe Pena (Pena Knives), is one of the best designs of this type. Free and fatigue-free movement of the index finger on the notch makes the blade easy and pleasant to open. Canibl is an extraordinary project, but fully functional.

The Suprlativ Knives brand is the result of a meeting of three American knifemakers who, working under their own names on a daily basis, this time gathered strength and decided to implement joint projects, drawing on their creativity, but different from their basic activity. Canibl knife

Premium steel

Knife blade is made of M390 powder steel. It is one of the few steels available on the market in the absolute top quality of materials used in the production of premium knives. It is a super chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy (sinter). Due to its alloy concept, this steel offers extremely high wear resistance, edge retention and high corrosion resistance.

In the presented version of the Canibl knife, the steel is covered with a black titanium PVD coating. The coating strengthens the already practically stainless steel M390 and has an anti-reflective effect.

Precision blade

Wharncliffe style blade allows you to make full use of the protruding point of the cutting edge. This is especially important for precision cuts. The hollow grind design helps to bring out the benefits of a small blade. The slender and quite narrow blade has excellent penetrating properties. On the back of the blade, we can see jimping that supports the thumb during cuts that require pressure, and is also the grasping plane of the pinball front.

The opening of the knife takes place thanks to the front flipper (fin) that subtly protrudes from the blade. The knife unfolds very freely and smoothly thanks to its ceramic ball bearings. The knife has a stable and durable lock to prevent accidental closure, type frame lock. In the titanium lock liners there is a steel lock insert along with a ceramic detent ball.

Titanium body and micarta handle covers

The knife body is made of titanium (bolster, liners, backspacer are made from Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 alloy). Titanium is an extremely durable material, light and practically stainless. Micarta handle covers are attached to the body. Micarta is a material resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, with high resistance to mechanical damage. Micarta can be styled like natural material, so it is often used in the production of knives. The backspacer strengthening the structure of the handle, made of titanium, is profiled in such a way as to put a hidden lanyard pin at the end of the knife. You can use it to additionally protect the knife from being lost or to attach a decorative bead that improves the grip of the whole (the beads can be purchased HERE).

Titanium carrying clip

The Tip-Up style carrying clip located at the end of the knife handle allows the closed blade to be carried upside down. The clip is made of titanium.

Maintenance

1. Remember! Every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
2. Do not use your knife for something besides it’s intended purpose! Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
3. After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
4. Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
5. Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheath clean and dry when not in use.
