However, the name of the knife does not only refer to the appearance of the knife. On the contrary- it also enhances its functional features. The blade, when necessary, can be "feisty" and "of strong character" just like a penguin's beak, the handle will perfectly match the hand during work, just like the body of a small swimmer will fit into every hole. The roughness of the micarta lining, like a penguin's raised feathers, will make slipping of the knife if ones hand when in use in a humid environment.
Small, handy and clever, but it will face any challenge, just as a small penguin can deal with the vastness of the seas and oceans.

The Parrot knife was designed and made by QSP Knife. It owes its name to the combination of colors of the hilt covers present in this model, with the multitude of colors in which exotic parrots are often dotted. MK Knives & Tools MK-04 Sentinel "Black & Green" knife has a unique design. The blade made of durable Vandis 23 steel with excellent hardness (up to 64 HRC), has been coated with a black, much thicker than in other MK Knives & Tools models (you can find them HERE), PVD coating, from which greenish flashes emerge. The innovative construction of the handle combines the advantages of full tang and hidden tang construction. The wide shank of the knife runs along the entire length of the handle (as in the full tang), but it has been enclosed with G10 composite covers screwed on it (as in the hidden tang). Sliwkosky Knives Urban Bowie XL Premium knife was inspired by the design of knives from the bowie family. However, it is in vain to look for a detailed representation of the classic bowie in it, because the knifemaker Jakub Sliwka drew from the historical knife only a few characteristic elements specific to the blade profile. First of all, it modernized the size (the whole is 215 mm long), adjusting it to the needs of outdoor trips, where a large blade is not always needed. The result is a full-tang knife with a very universal purpose, in a classic, very nice design, which can be used with pleasure during a camping, travelling, in the forest, for food preparation etc. It will also not be afraid of planing, cutting medium-thick branches, or other activities that may need to be performed in the camp.
The presented version of the Urban Bowie XL Premium has a satin Elmax steel blade, carbon fiber grips, green G10 composite liners and a black Kydex holster with black additions and natural brown leather loop. Knife comes with knife bead by Sliwkosky Knives too.
